What leadership opportunities do you offer in the Senior School?

Leweston offers a wide range of leadership roles so pupils can share their gifts and support others across the school.

The Head Prefects lead a team of Prefects who act as role models across the school and support staff and pupils in many areas of school life.

The Boarding Prefect leads a team of boarders who represent the views of pupils in the boarding community. They help and advise boarders of all ages and chair the termly Boarding Council meetings, which provide a forum for ideas and discussion about boarding life.

Peer mentors are Sixth Form students who complete a training programme to support new pupils. Mentors and mentees meet regularly to chat informally about school life, talk through any settling‑in issues, and offer guidance from an older student’s perspective.

Year Representatives work to maintain, review and improve the quality of life for both day pupils and boarders in their year group. They play a significant role in suggesting and discussing changes, ensuring each year’s views are fairly represented. Year reps report into School Council meetings.
