What is the weather like in Dorset?
Dorset generally has a mild climate with relatively small differences between the seasons.
For pupils joining from overseas, the weather can feel a little different to what they are used to. In the South West of the UK, temperatures are usually moderate, with mild, often wet winters and comfortable summers rather than very hot or very cold extremes.
- Summer: usually fine, with plenty of dry and bright days.
- Winter: generally mild, though we do occasionally have snow days.
- Rain: like the rest of the UK, showers are common throughout the year, so it is always worth bringing a good waterproof coat and an umbrella.
