What is half term?

Half term is a short holiday in the middle of each school term.

  • In the Autumn Term, half term lasts for two weeks.
  • In the Spring and Summer Terms, half term is one week.

During half term the school closes and pupils either go home or stay with their guardians. On some half terms there may also be school trips or activities available.
