What counselling support does the school offer?

Leweston has a range of people in place to support pupils who want to talk.

Our fully trained school counsellor holds a walk-in clinic in the Well-Being Hub once a week and is also available for pre-booked 1:1 appointments.

We have a Pastoral Lead who is available to pupils all day in the Well-Being Hub. She operates an open door policy and pupils can speak to her whenever they want. She can support with a range of issues from just needing a short time out to providing a more detailed support plan.

We have a fully qualified ‘Mental Health First Aider’ in the Prep School, and all staff members have been trained to identify the signs and symptoms of mental health concerns as well as how to help. Our Mental Health First Aider offers weekly appointments to those who need additional support, and coaches staff working with specific pupils.

We also have a family councillor and coach both of whom are available to come into school and work with families in need of support.
