What are the rules regarding electronic devices in the boarding house?

At Leweston we impose a Mobile Phone Policy which every student must adhere to.

Years 4 to 10 (boys and girls)

Devices are handed in 30 minutes before lights out to encourage a sensible bedtime routine and promote good sleep. Devices are locked away securely in the House Parent offices overnight.

No pupils, including day pupils, are allowed to use their mobiles phones during the school day.

International students with parents in a significantly different time zone are allowed to use their phone in the EAL (English as an Additional Language) room at lunchtime only (unless in the case of an emergency). Phones should be handed in to the Director of International Students after they have made their phone call.

Misuse of devices and failure to follow the rules regarding devices may result in House Parents restricting the use of devices.
