Does my child have to go to church?

The whole school comes together for either Mass or Liturgy once a week on Wednesday morning and all pupils and staff attend.

Leweston is a Catholic foundation but we welcome pupils of all denominations and none and the majority of our pupils are not Catholic. Pupils can choose how much they would like to participate in the religious life of the school but the whole school, Prep and Senior, comes together for either Mass or Liturgy once a week. Pupils of all ages and faiths participate and take an active role as servers, readers, choir and musicians. We often welcome parents, friends and neighbours.

The School Chapel is also used for assemblies and concerts. It is always open so that pupils, staff and parents can find a quiet space when they find the need.

Pupils can be prepared for First Holy Communion and Confirmation and we often celebrate Baptisms but students of other faiths are supported in their own worship and an Anglican liturgy is held in the School chapel once a term for those that would like to attend.
