Leweston does not participate in the formal SATs testing at Year 2 and Year 6.
Pupils sit our own examinations and assessments, so that they become accustomed to the discipline required in examinations. These are approached as a natural part of the school year and can never tell us as much as our continual teacher assessment of the pupils. We do not conduct a specific ‘exams week’.
INCAS testing takes place at the end of the school year; this is a national test which is administered in the ICT room. The results of these tests are used internally to ensure that our teacher assessment data can be cross-checked.
